About us,
Hello Everyone, Iām Lauren Brookes and I am the Creator of The Sausage Pit. I first Started making Snuggle beds for my Standard Dachshund Sizzle as a little hobby, after constantly buying shop bought beds from retailers, in which she would destroy & defluff in a matter of hours. I was getting a little frustrated how much it was costing me each week & I soon began to notice a trend, with every bed she destroyed she would try and burrow into the fabric to get cosy. So, after a little research I decided to create my first ever Snuggle bed prototype in September 2019, which was a huge success! Sizzle has never destroyed a bed since!
In 2011 I graduated with a Fashion Design Degree from Birmingham Institute of Art & Design and since this time for the last 13 years I have been building my career in the Corporate world being a Store Manager for one of the Largest Pharmacy & Beauty retailers in the world. In June 2021 i took the plunge to quit my job and started to grow The Sausage Pit into the business it is today. We are growing rapidly and currently looking for our very own premises to call home. I am still learning every day, building my contacts and absolutely loving this new world i have created. We have some amazing new products coming soon too, keep your eyes peeled!
